The new 2021 FRED features upgraded LEDs identical to those used in the Refuel, with the addition of a red option designed to preserve night vision. The highly efficient reflector creates a seamless flood of FRED light with no shadowing in either red or white mode. At close range, the wide beams simulate normal daylight conditions and allow users to take advantage of their peripheral vision with the Focused Wide Beam feature. Multiple settings offer flexibility to adjust the light’s brightness for illuminating greater distances or conserving battery power as needed.

The light is also water resistant with an IPX4 rating, designed to withstand splashing and quick dunkings. The Ultrabright LED is bright and efficient, emitting a smooth, white, wide-beam light ideal for close to mid-range tasks. The 2021 FRED has a burn time of 41 hours and is battery operated, using 3 AAA batteries.
